OBEY Help Darfur Shirt

Lately, I've seen quite a few people walking around wearing this shirt.  It obviously stands out from just any other shirt and attracts some attention.  I decided to look up what it really is all about.  I found out that it is made by one of my favorite clothing lines, OBEY.  OBEY is working with GlobalGrassroots.org through the HOPE Campaign to help empower individuals and bring awareness to the current crisis in Darfur.  Last year, our school also brought awareness to the situation in Darfur and made t-shirts to help support it.  The t-shirt sale was so successful last year that more were sold this year but in more colors.  The money raised from the t-shirts was sent to aid the Darfur situation.  If you don't know much about Darfur, here's a little to fill you in:  Since 2003 in Darfur, Sudan, an Arab government and their Janjaweed militias have been killing, raping, and displacing its black African citizens.  Thousands of people have been killed and millions have been displaced.  100% of the proceeds from the OBEY t-shirt are donated to the HOPE Campaign to help stop this injustice.  Even through all the help people have done so far, the situation in Darfur is still very crucial and needs support from everywhere to stop this once and for all.
